Our Analysis

The Pixio PX248 Wave is an affordable monitor that punches above its weight with a strong showing in panel quality and gaming performance. What we found particularly impressive was its 200Hz refresh rate, providing buttery smooth visuals that are ideal for gamers on a budget. Backed by an IPS panel, this monitor offers superior viewing angles and color reproduction, a must-have for those who value accurate image representation. According to tomshardware.com, it 'excels in screen uniformity, with one of the best scores'. However, there are some trade-offs, including limited video inputs and the need for calibration to achieve the best picture quality, which might be a deterrent for those seeking a plug-and-play experience without additional setup hassles.

Amazing computer gaming monitor

Samantha July 18, 2025
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️☆ Sleek, Speedy & Stylish🔥 Performance• The 200 Hz refresh rate and 1 ms (GTG) Fast‑IPS panel deliver buttery-smooth motion in FPS and fast-paced games—you can really feel the difference from 60 Hz monitors .• Supports Adaptive Sync / FreeSync, which minimizes screen tearing when paired with compatible GPUs .🌸 Design & Aesthetic• Soft pastel pink finish makes this a standout statement piece for any setup ().• Compact 24” IPS screen with slim bezels keeps the footprint minimal and chic.🎨 Visual Quality• With 112% sRGB color gamut, it delivers vivid, accurate colors—ideal for both gaming and content watching .• Brightness peaks around 300 nits, adequate for most environments but may struggle under very bright lighting .• HDR10 is included, though like most budget monitors it’s more a checkbox than a transformative feature .🔊 Built‑In Speakers• Dual 3 W speakers outperform typical monitor audio—great for casual listening or quick voice chat .• Some users say they’re “surprisingly good,” though still won’t replace dedicated speakers ().⚠️ Some Trade‑Offs• The stand only offers tilt adjustment, no height or swivel .• Only one HDMI and one DisplayPort means limited connectivity if you want to hook up multiple devices .• A few users note occasional quality-control issues (like early failure or panel lines), but most customer reviews praise its value .🛍️ Final ThoughtsIf you’re after a vibrant, high-speed 24″ monitor with personality, this is a steal—especially in pink. The PX248 Wave blends performance, affordability (~$150–160), and flair with only minor compromises in ergonomics and ports. This monitor is great!

Kindle Customer August 28, 2025
This monitor is amazing! It’s great for my first monitor, I expect I’m not gonna jump for a new monitor for a couple of years! I play movies and youtube on this monitor, and the resolution is great! This monitor is great for studying for college, since I can have so many windows open at once and it doesn’t feel cluttered when watching lectures in one tab, typing notes in another, and having a file open to read reports for class. When it comes to playing games, it’s great! I play Jrpgs on here like Persona and Dragon Quest, to playing SMTV or Final Fantasy. This monitor handles the fps and resolution of these games like nothing, no drop in quality, colors are vivid and bright, it makes me so happy! This monitor really gives you bang for your buck, so I’d highly recommend this monitor if you’re on the market for a first time monitor or an upgrade from a cheaper one! And when it comes to sound, it’s not bad, but it’s not great either. It wouldn’t be an issue if I had to use the monitors external speakers, since I can still hear everything just fine without having to turn the volume all the way up, however I just use my personal plug in speakers instead. Like I said, nothing wrong with the speakers, you can always just use another speaker if you prefer!

Cute, great display, and inexpensive

Sunny September 21, 2025
Monitor is great and color is very clear. The refresh rate is so nice to have considering I’ve been using 60hz prior to getting something this high and at this price. The built in speakers are okay, it doesn’t get very loud considering that the speakers are behind the monitor and not on the side or bottom, but that’s fine, I use headphones more over the speakers.

Perfect for Gamer Girls w/a midtier budget

User4097 December 24, 2025
Perfect and fits my setup nicely. I especially like how I can change if it faces up or down to see from better angles. The picture quality is wonderful and really pairs well with my new pc. Assembling it with its original stand is so easy- literally, I just snapped them together! Worth the money and I’m glad I got it on sale!

Smooth Performance With a Stylish Design

Celeste Gonzalez February 2, 2026
A great monitor with a sleek design that looks amazing on my desk. The 200Hz refresh rate makes gameplay incredibly smooth & the Fast IPS panel delivers vibrant colors with sharp FHD 1080p clarity. Easy to set up & performs flawlessly for both gaming & everyday use. The sound quality is not the best. Weighs almost nothing. Very affordable. Highly recommend.

The Verdict

The Pixio PX248 Wave is a reasonable pick for budget-conscious gamers who prioritize a high refresh rate and decent color performance, but it comes with notable compromises. Limited video inputs, awkward menu controls, and the need for calibration to achieve accurate color mean it falls short of a broad recommendation. If you can work within those constraints, it offers solid value; if you need a plug-and-play experience or wider connectivity, look elsewhere.
