The Bottom Line

The Aula F99 Pro keyboard offers a space-saving 96% layout with a rotary knob, providing extended functionality on a compact form factor. Its 8000mAh battery life stands out for long-lasting performance. This keyboard is best suited for typists and gamers who value desk space and extended battery life. However, it has north-facing LEDs on the non-Pro variant, which reduces shine-through, and a control knob that requires adjustment for effective use.

Our Analysis

The EPOMAKER X Aula F99 Pro is a mechanical keyboard that has drawn attention for its value at the sub-$100 price point. It uses a 96% layout with 99 keys, retaining a numpad and adding a rotary knob, which saves desk space without cutting core functionality. Tri-mode connectivity covers wired USB-C, 2.4GHz, and Bluetooth 5.0 with three-device pairing. Switches are hot-swappable and come pre-lubed from the factory. The 8000mAh battery lasts weeks with RGB off, and the gasket-mounted structure with five layers of sound-dampening materials, including Poron-based foam, produces a quiet, cushioned typing feel out of the box. South-facing RGB LEDs pair well with the side-printed PBT keycaps. On the downside, the ABS plastic casing won't satisfy buyers expecting a premium shell, no wrist rest is included, and the rotary knob takes some adjustment to use confidently.

The AULA F99 Pro delivers exceptional value as a 98% layout mechanical keyboard with tri-mode connectivity, hot-swappable switches, and premium build quality rare at its price point. The gasket-mounted design provides satisfying tactile feedback, while the rotary knob adds practical volume and RGB control. Multiple color options and switch configurations suit diverse preferences. Battery life impresses for wireless use, and the substantial weight eliminates desk movement during intense sessions. Starstarry switches come factory-lubed with minimal rattle. Some software limitations and north-facing LED orientation for Cherry profile keycaps represent minor compromises in an otherwise outstanding package for gamers and professionals seeking full functionality in compact dimensions.

Beautifully designed, soft touch keyboard

leila doesleila does March 9, 2026
I love this keyboard. Honestly typing on it makes me so happy. It has three modes of connection - wired, wireless with a usb dongle plug in, and bluetooth. The box comes with the cord, a key puller (if you want to change the keycaps), and two extra switches (the pieces that connect the keys to the board).Lights -The lighting is beautifully glowy with various color and pattern options. The lights stay on if the keyboard is plugged in and on the wired setting. If you connect by bluetooth or the wireless dongle the lights will turn off after a minute of non-use to conserve battery life. As soon as you start typing the lights come on again with no lag.Weight -I was a little worried that this wasn’t an aluminum keyboard and might feel cheap but was sooo pleasantly surprised to feel the weight of it. It feels like a very solid keyboard, it does not move when it’s on a a flat surface.Keys -The keys are soft and smooth with front printed characters. Looking down from the top it appears as though there are no letters, but if you are typing at normal arms length you should not have a problem seeing the letters on the front face of the keys. The light shines through the letters/characters. If you are in the dark you would need other external lighting to see them. In normal lighting conditions you can still see the characters without the keyboard’s backlighting. There is a full numberpad with a big 0 key and a multimedia knob.Sound -The sound is extremely quiet (not silent but muted - the harder/faster you type the louder it will be. I saw another video describe the sound as like walking on snow). There are no clicky clacks when using this keyboard.I use this for office work, not gaming, so I cannot speak to how well it works for gaming. But for work it is wonderful and I’m thinking of buying a second so I can have one at home and one at my office. I could not be happier with this purchase. Worth the money.

Must Have Keeb If You’re Going For A Quiet Scene.

Tianna HoodTianna Hood February 27, 2026
I love this keyboard, it’s very sleek and quiet. I work in an office and I needed something quiet because my typewriter keeb can be a little overbearing and obnoxious. I like the size and that I have a full zero key. For the price of it, you get a nice sturdy keeb. The feel of the keys as you press down is such a nice feel. It is also easy to use with the tri-more connectivity. You can read the manual if needed, but it’s pretty straightforward.

The battery life is impressive, easily lasting days on a single charge. The customizable RGB backlighting adds a cool aesthetic without being over the top. Thocky, Silent Perfection!

AndreaAndrea January 17, 2026
I bought this keyboard for my at home office and now I will have to have one for my onsite office. The sound and feel are incredibly satisfying. The typing experience is perfectly thocky but still quiet, which is hard to find. This keyboard is ideal for office use. I just need the exact keyboard in a true full-size version now!The weight makes it feel solid and premium quality. It does not move or scoot around on my desk at all, even during longer typing sessions. That stability makes a bigger difference than expected.I really appreciate the fixed-on color options. Not everyone wants the constant RGB cycling, and the ability to keep it clean, and consistent is a huge win for me. I don’t want something that will look flashy or distract clients.

The AULA F99 Pro Wireless Mechanical Keyboard is an absolute gem! The silent linear switches are buttery smooth to type on and whisper quiet, making this keyboard perfect for an office or shared workspace where you want that satisfying mechanical feel without the noise. The typing experience feels premium, thanks to the gasket-mounted structure and pre-lubed switches that deliver a soft, responsive touch. The pudding keycaps are a standout feature, allowing the vibrant RGB lighting to shine through beautifully. The lighting effects are bright, customizable, and truly bring the keyboard to life, adding a touch of personality to any setup. Connectivity is also seamless with BT5.0, 2.4GHz, and USB-C options — everything just works flawlessly.Overall, I have zero complaints about this board. The Verdict

The AULA F99 Pro is highly recommended for those seeking a feature-rich mechanical keyboard without breaking the bank. It's a great choice for budget-conscious typists and gamers who value multi-device support and compact desk space. However, if you're after a premium feel or need a wrist rest for extended typing sessions, this might not be the best fit.
